The project is a collaborative venture of three institutional partners::

•	Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Lower Saxony

•	Georg-August-University Göttingen, in particular as owner of the Blumenbach collections

•	Niedersächsische Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Göttingen, , where copies of most printed Blumenbachiana are kept and modern research and information infrastructures are developed. The Göttingen Digitisation Centre (GDZ), which is located at the library, is also a partner of the project.
